Valtice is a town in the Břeclav District of the South Moravian Region in the Czech Republic with around 3,600 residents.

It is situated near the border with Austria, about 10 kilometers west of Břeclav and 50 kilometers south of Brno, resting in the lowlands of the Lower Morava Valley at an elevation of around 170 to 192 meters. The town is renowned for being part of the Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its unique blend of Baroque, Neoclassical, and neo-Gothic architecture, as well as its historical significance as a cultural landscape designed by a single noble family.

Valtice's historic center is well-preserved and protected as an urban monument zone. The town has a long history dating back to its first mention in 1192 and features notable landmarks including a castle and various architectural styles reflecting its aristocratic heritage. The area is characterized by a flat landscape with rivers and fishponds nearby, playing a role in both culture and tourism in the South Moravian region.
