Varvažov is a small municipality and village located in the Písek District of the South Bohemian Region in Czechia.

It has around 200 inhabitants and features a well-preserved historic center that is protected as a village monument zone. The village lies roughly 14 kilometers north of Písek and 67 kilometers south of Prague in the Tábor Uplands, with its highest point being the hill Hlásnice at 447 meters above sea level.

The village is bordered mainly by rivers including the Skalice, Lomnice, Otava, and the Vltava, near which lies the Orlík Reservoir. Varvažov’s history dates back to the mid-13th century and was continuously owned by the Knights Hospitaller until the mid-19th century.

A notable feature of the village is its late Baroque castle that served as a summer residence for the Knights Hospitaller, alongside other historical monuments such as the Church of Saint Catherine from the 13th century and a historic stone bridge from the 18th century. The municipality is quiet with no major roads or railways passing directly through it, preserving its traditional rural character.
