Velký Újezd is a small market town in the Olomouc District of the Olomouc Region in eastern Czechia, with about 1,400 residents living in a compact area of roughly 6.8 square kilometers.
It lies about 15 kilometers east of the city of Olomouc in the low mountain range of Nízký Jeseník, giving it a slightly hilly, rural landscape. First mentioned in the early 14th century, Velký Újezd has a long history as a market town, though it lost and later regained that status over the centuries.
Its most notable landmark is the Baroque Church of Saint James the Great, built in the second half of the 18th century, which stands as a focal point in the village center.
