Yarkon Park, located in Tel Aviv, Israel, is a sprawling urban park named after the Yarkon River that flows through it. Covering about 375 hectares, it is slightly larger than New York's Central Park and offers a mix of extensive lawns, sports facilities, botanical gardens, an aviary, a water park, lakes, and outdoor concert venues.

The park was developed starting in the 1950s with the goal of providing a major green space for the city's growing population, incorporating both natural and recreational elements. It features several unique gardens including a tropical garden, a cactus garden, and one of the world's largest rock gardens that reflects Israel’s geological diversity. The park is also home to historical archaeological sites and the remnants of the depopulated Palestinian village of Jarisha.

Despite challenges like pollution in the Yarkon River, the park remains a vibrant ecosystem supporting a variety of wildlife and serves as a beloved retreat and social hub for residents and visitors alike.
