Zámeček Doubí
Karlovy Vary, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Zámeček Doubí is a historic chateau perched on a spur above the Ohře River in the Doubí district of Karlovy Vary, Czechia, first mentioned as a castle in the mid-14th century and conquered in 1447.
Rebuilt in Renaissance style during the 16th century and given Baroque features in 1739–1756 including a chapel in a round bastion, it gained its current neo-Renaissance form with Moorish elements through architect František Mader's redesign from 1868–1885.
After serving Soviet headquarters in 1945 and various state enterprises, it now houses Czechia's unique year-round Christmas House with the nation's largest teddy bear museum, festive decorations, and a cozy café amid atmospheric vaults.
