Zámek Červená Řečice is a remarkable Renaissance château in the town of Červená Řečice in the Vysočina Region of Czechia.

Originally established as a fortified residence of Prague’s bishops in the 13th century, it was later rebuilt from a Gothic castle into a Renaissance château during the 16th century. The complex is famous for its preserved fortifications, towers, moat, and decorative sgraffito façades, making it one of the finest examples of Czech Renaissance architecture.

It is particularly notable for its unique fortified design, which combines the features of a château and a defensive stronghold. For centuries, the estate was linked to Prague’s bishops and archbishops, and later underwent Baroque and Classical modifications. The château was declared a National Cultural Monument and has benefited from extensive restoration work in recent years.

Today, the restored château is open to visitors and offers exhibitions, guided tours, and cultural events, allowing guests to explore its rich architectural heritage and long history.
