Zámek Červené Janovice in the Czech Republic originated as a Gothic fortress dating back to the 14th century, parts of which still survive in the castle's western wing as remnants of masonry and vaulted rooms. In the mid-17th century, the fortress was rebuilt into a Baroque chateau by the Obytecký family, following plans by Italian architect Carlo Brentani, giving the building its characteristic Baroque facade with ornate stucco window surrounds and arcades around the courtyard.

The castle’s layout is a four-winged structure with a reconstructed moat and stone bridge leading to an asymmetrical entrance. Over the centuries, it housed a brewery and malt house and underwent several renovations in the 20th century. Today, the chateau retains historical architectural details such as stucco ceiling decorations and sgraffito, while also serving educational and cultural purposes.

It stands as a significant heritage site reflecting the Renaissance to Baroque evolution in Czech architecture.
