Zámek Haňovice
Haňovice, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Zámek Haňovice in the Czech Republic originated as a Gothic-Renaissance fortress built in the early 16th century by the Proček family. It was constructed on the site of an earlier medieval fortress and became the center of a large estate owned by the Olomouc chapter from the early 17th century.
The castle was damaged during the Thirty Years’ War but was later repaired and given a Baroque mansard roof along with the addition of a brewery and agricultural buildings. It remained the property of the Olomouc chapter until 1948 and was used for agricultural purposes afterward. The castle's architecture reflects a combination of Gothic foundations and later Renaissance and Baroque modifications, preserving significant historical layers.
