Zámek Jemčina
Hatín, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Zámek Jemčina in Hatín, Czech Republic, is a Baroque chateau built between 1757 and 1759 as a hunting lodge on the site of an old stud farm dating from 1673.
The chateau, designed by architect Anselmo Lurago, features Neoclassical modifications made after 1790 and includes a chapel dedicated to St. John of Nepomuk added in 1769. It was historically associated with the noble Černín family and surrounded by a parkland used for hunting.
After state expropriation in 1923, it served as a military base until 1991, and following restoration, it opened to the public in 2004, now serving as a cultural monument and a center of local heritage.
