Zámek Klimkovice is a historic château in the center of Klimkovice, near Ostrava, that originated as a medieval fortress and was transformed into an elegant Renaissance residence in 1578–1579 by Ondřej Bzenec of Markvartovice.

The château is notably connected to the nearby Church of St. Catherine by an elevated arcade corridor, creating one of the town’s most distinctive landmarks. Over the centuries, the estate was owned by several noble families, especially the Wilczek family, and underwent major rebuilding after destructive fires in 1854 and again in 1945.

Its appearance today reflects Renaissance origins combined with later Baroque and Neo-Baroque modifications. Now protected as a cultural monument, the château serves public and cultural functions, including municipal and museum uses. It remains one of the most important historical buildings in Klimkovice and a symbol of the town’s rich heritage.
