Zámek Kociánka
Brno, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Zámek Kociánka is a small Neoclassical château located in the Kociánka area of Brno’s Královo Pole district.
Built in 1825 on the site of an older estate, it was associated with the Schaffgotsch family and stood within a landscaped park that became a notable feature of the area. The château has a long history of changing ownership, having previously belonged to religious institutions before passing into private hands.
In 1919, inspired by Alice Masaryk, the property became the foundation of a care and rehabilitation center for people with physical disabilities, a role that significantly shaped its modern history. Today, the château forms part of the Centrum Kociánka complex, which provides social and rehabilitation services.
