Zámek Lnáře is an elegant Baroque château in the South Bohemian village of Lnáře, built beside an older fortress.

Construction began in 1666 under Count Aleš Vratislav of Mitrovice and was completed in the 1680s by the Černín family, creating a grand noble residence surrounded by ponds and landscaped grounds. The château is especially known for its richly decorated interiors, including remarkable frescoes by Italian artists, ornate stucco work, a chapel, and a collection of Baroque sculptures in the gardens.

These artistic features make it one of the region’s most notable historic residences. During World War II and the events surrounding the liberation of Czechoslovakia in 1945, the château played a notable role and later underwent extensive restoration. Returned to its owners after 1993 and opened to the public in 1999, it is now a cultural monument where visitors can explore its history, art, gardens, and unique museums.
