Zámek Miroslav in Czechia is a historic castle originally established as a medieval water fortress around the year 912 by Princess Miroslava. It is situated on a small rock surrounded by marshes, giving it a unique irregular shape. The castle’s core features a Romanesque stone tower later expanded into a strong Gothic castle protected by a water moat.

During the 16th century, extensive Renaissance renovations gave the castle much of its current appearance, with further Baroque alterations in the 18th century. Over the centuries, the castle passed through many owners and was historically significant as a local seat of power and justice, housing facilities like a courtroom, jailer’s apartment, and prison.

Today, the castle is partially restored and serves as a venue for cultural events and exhibits in its adjoining park and summer cinema, while preserving its architectural heritage and historical value for visitors.
