Zámek Motol is a historic château in Prague’s Motol district that stands on the site of a medieval fortress.

The original fortress was later replaced by a Baroque manor house built in the late 17th century, and in the second half of the 19th century it was remodeled into the Neo-Gothic building seen today. The château is recognizable for its two-wing layout, corner tower, and the Maltese Cross emblem of the Knights Hospitaller (Johannites). 

Over time, it also served military purposes, including use as barracks and a military headquarters. Today, the château is not open to the public and is used by government agricultural inspection and testing institutions. Despite its limited accessibility, it remains an interesting example of Prague’s historical architecture and reflects the area’s long connection to noble and religious estates.
