Zámek Rešice

Zámek Rešice is a small Renaissance château located in the village of Rešice in the South Moravian Region of Czechia.

It was built in the 1580s by Jiří Jankovský of Vlašim, possibly on the site of an older medieval fortress, and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1985. Over the centuries, the château underwent Baroque and later architectural modifications, but it still retains elements of its Renaissance character.

The building has an L-shaped layout, with arcaded courtyards and surviving Renaissance vaulted interiors. The château is accompanied by a historic farm complex and stands above the Olešná River. Although it is not open to the public and has suffered from years of neglect, it remains an important example of regional noble architecture and heritage.
