Zámek Sedlice
Sedlice, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Zámek Sedlice is a historic château in the South Bohemian town of Sedlice, created by rebuilding a late Gothic fortress that likely originated in the 15th century.
Its present appearance is mainly the result of Renaissance renovations carried out by the Šternberk family in the second half of the 16th century, followed by Baroque modifications in the 17th century. Over the centuries, the estate was owned by several prominent noble families, including the Šternberks, Černíns, and Lobkowicz family. The château remained in aristocratic hands until the end of World War II, after which it was used for agricultural purposes.
