Zámek Svobodné Hamry

Zámek Svobodné Hamry is a small historic château located in the village of Svobodné Hamry, part of the municipality of Vysočina in eastern Czechia.

It stands on the site of an older 15th-century fortress and retains a Renaissance layout dating from the 16th century. After a fire in the late 19th century, the building was rebuilt in a Neo-Baroque style. It was owned by the Czech architect Jan Nevole, under whom it became an important cultural and patriotic gathering place visited by notable Czech intellectuals and public figures. 

The château is protected as a cultural monument and is one of the historic landmarks of the village. It previously housed the administration of the Vysočina open-air museum.
