Zámek Tachov is a historic château in the western Czech town of Tachov, built on the site of an earlier medieval royal castle that dates back to the 13th century.

Over the centuries, the fortress was gradually transformed into a Baroque residence and later redesigned in a Neoclassical style by the noble Windisch-Grätz family, who owned the estate from the late 18th century. After serving various purposes during the 20th century, including military and storage uses, the building was saved from demolition and carefully restored.

Today, it is recognized as an important cultural monument and has been open to visitors since 2014. Visitors can explore exhibitions on the history of Tachov, elegant period interiors inspired by the Windisch-Grätz family, and collections of art and historical objects. The château is also one of the main landmarks of Tachov’s well-preserved historic center.
