Zámek Vyškov is a historic château in the town of Vyškov that began as a Gothic fortress in the 15th century and later became a residence of the bishops of Olomouc.

Over time, it was rebuilt in Renaissance and then Baroque styles, with major renovations carried out in the 17th century under Bishop Karl II von Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn. The château experienced periods of prosperity, but also suffered from major fires, including one in 1753 that ended its role as an important aristocratic residence.

It was later used for administrative purposes, a military hospital, and educational institutions. Today, the château is one of Vyškov’s main landmarks and houses the Museum of the Vyškov Region. Visitors can explore exhibitions on local history, archaeology, ethnography, and traditional folk ceramics, making it an important cultural center for the region.
