The ruins of Dobronice Castle stand on a rocky promontory above the Lužnice River near Dobronice u Bechyně in South Bohemia.

The castle was founded in the 14th century by local nobles and later belonged to several important families, including the Rožmberks. In the 16th century, it was rebuilt in the Late Gothic style, strengthening its appearance and defenses. From 1691 to 1727, the castle was owned by the Jesuits, who used it as a summer residence and administrative center.

After the decline and eventual dissolution of the Jesuit order, the castle was abandoned and gradually fell into ruin. Today, visitors can see the remains of the castle palace, chapel, defensive walls, and its most recognizable feature, a large round tower that dominates the landscape. The site is valued as a cultural monument and offers impressive views over the surrounding countryside and river valley.
