Zřícenina Hradu Košíkov
Czech Republic, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Zřícenina Hradu Košíkov is the remains of a small medieval castle near the village of Drahonín in the South Moravian Region of Czechia.
The castle was built in the second half of the 14th century, likely after several nearby villages were separated from the estate of the older Loučky Castle. Historical records mention the castle in the early 15th century, when it was owned by Mikuláš Člupek and later connected to the powerful Pernštejn family.
By the end of the 15th century, however, the castle had been abandoned and gradually fell into ruin. Today, only earthworks, ditches, embankments, and small fragments of walls remain. The site is located on a wooded hill above the Bobrůvka valley and is accessible by hiking trails, making it an attractive destination for visitors interested in history, nature, and quiet scenic walks.
