Zřícenina Hradu Obřany is the remains of a medieval Gothic castle located on a wooded hill near the village of Kanice, northeast of Brno.

The castle was built in the second half of the 13th century by the Lords of Zbraslav and served as a noble residence and defensive stronghold overlooking the Svitava Valley. The castle is closely associated with Gerhard of Zbraslav and Obřany, a nobleman remembered in local history as a robber knight. After changing owners, the fortress became linked to attacks on merchants traveling near Brno, leading the townspeople of Brno to capture and burn it in 1315 or 1316.

Because the castle was abandoned early and never significantly rebuilt, its ruins provide valuable insight into medieval castle architecture. Today, visitors can see remnants of walls, earthworks, foundations, and other traces of the original structure. The site is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic and is a popular destination for hikers seeking history, nature, and scenic views in the forests surrounding Brno.
