Adoni Fort in Andhra Pradesh is a historic fortress originally built in the 15th century during the Vijayanagara Empire.

It is one of the largest forts in India, with fortification walls extending over 50 kilometers, spread across seven granite hills. The fort is a collection of 12 sub-forts constructed over several centuries, showcasing a mix of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles in structures like the Jamia Masjid, Venu Gopala Temple, Malik Rahman Dargah, and Amba Bhavani Temple within its premises.

Adoni Fort witnessed numerous rulers, including the Bijapur Sultanate, Mughal Empire, the Nizam of Hyderabad, and Tipu Sultan before falling under British rule. Historically significant, the fort features grand gateways, bastions, and water tanks and served as a strategic military base and cultural hub.

It remains a site of archaeological interest with ruins and temples, attracting tourists interested in its rich history and scenic hilltop views.
