The Agricultural Research Center (ARC) is Egypt's largest applied research institution and the premier agricultural research organization in the Middle East and Africa, located at 9 University Street (also called 9 Cairo University Street or 9 Gamma Street) in Giza, Egypt.

Founded in 1972, the center is a government agency with over 10,000 employees dedicated to serving Egypt's agricultural sector and achieving food security for all Egyptians across the country. ARC encompasses numerous specialized research institutes covering various agricultural sciences and operates approximately 14 central laboratories in different specialties that contribute to advancing Egyptian agriculture.

The center's mission focuses on securing safe and high-quality food, maximizing sustainable use of land and water resources, maintaining competitive agricultural economy opportunities, and upgrading agriculture through research and technology transfer. ARC has achieved many accomplishments reflecting its vision of working at an accelerated pace across all fronts to achieve a major development surge that significantly contributes to food security for citizens throughout Egypt.

The center plays a central role in international partnerships, including recent agreements with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation to modernize wheat sector infrastructure under the EU-KAFI Programme, and collaborates with organizations like ICARDA on developing climate-smart crop varieties and sustainable agricultural practices.
