The Agricultural Research Center (ARC) is Egypt's largest applied research institution and the premier agricultural research organization in the Middle East and Africa, located at 9 University Street (also called 9 Cairo University Street or 9 Gamma Street) in Giza, Egypt.
Founded in 1972, the center is a government agency with over 10,000 employees dedicated to serving Egypt's agricultural sector and achieving food security for all Egyptians across the country. ARC encompasses numerous specialized research institutes covering various agricultural sciences and operates approximately 14 central laboratories in different specialties that contribute to advancing Egyptian agriculture.
