Alwar City Palace, also known as Vinay Vilas Mahal, is a grand palace located in Alwar, Rajasthan, built in the late 18th century by Maharaja Bakhtawar Singh. It stands at the foothills of the Aravalli Hills and showcases an impressive fusion of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles.

The palace features marble pavilions with lotus-shaped bases in a large central courtyard, impressive carved gates like Jai Pol and Suraj Pol, and a total of 15 large and 51 smaller towers overlooking scenic mountain slopes. Its walls and ceilings are richly decorated with murals and mirror work.

The palace complex includes notable structures such as the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors), the Diwan-e-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), and the Diwan-e-Khas (private hall for royalty). The palace played a significant role as a royal residence and administrative center for the Alwar rulers and witnessed many historic events.

Today, part of the palace houses the Government Museum, displaying royal artifacts like weapons, manuscripts, artwork, and costumes. The palace is surrounded by beautiful features like the Sagar Lake and nearby Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri, a cenotaph with a Bengali-styled roof set in a lush garden, adding to its cultural and historical charm.

Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the Aravalli Hills from the elevated vantage points of the palace, making it a major tourist attraction that reflects the royal heritage and rich history of Alwar.
