Balmacara Woodland Walks is a network of scenic forest and coastal paths set on the Balmacara Estate near Kyle of Lochalsh in the Scottish Highlands, looking across Loch Alsh towards the Isle of Skye.

The estate spans several thousand acres of woodland, crofting land, and hillside, including a designated “Scotland’s rainforest” area and a small coral‑type beach, linked by around 24 kilometres of maintained footpaths. Visitors can choose short, family‑friendly woodland strolls, longer hillside routes, or coastal walks that pass through crofting fields and along.

The loch, with chances to spot wildlife such as red squirrels, otters, and birds of prey. The walks are easily accessed from Balmacara Square and the nearby A87, and are often combined with a stop at the estate café or a broader tour of the historic Balmacara estate and its surrounding Wester Ross scenery.
