Bansi, also known as Baansi, is a village situated in the Bari Sadri tehsil of Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan, India, approximately 94 kilometers from Udaipur and 78 kilometers southwest of Chittorgarh city.

The village historically belonged to the Rajput Shaktawat clan as one of the sixteen primary umrao thikanas of the Mewar kingdom. Its name derives from the abundance of bamboo, called "bans" in Hindi, found in the area. Bansi covers about 1,500 hectares and has a population of roughly 3,800 people, with a literacy rate around 67%.

The village is governed by a local gram panchayat and surrounded by neighboring villages such as Barbal and Kewalpura. It maintains its rural character while being connected to nearby towns for economic activities. The residents mostly speak Hindi, and the village retains its cultural heritage tied to the region’s Rajput history.
