The fort is roughly oval-shaped, enclosed by two masonry walls held together with mud mortar and protected by moats. It features seven bastions and two circular watchtowers, with the main entrance facing north.

Atop the hill within the fort is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu as Bete Ranganatha Swamy. The fort’s architecture reflects typical Vijayanagara features, with strong walls for defense and strategic placement overlooking the surrounding region. Today, it remains a well-preserved historical site, attracting visitors interested in its cultural and military past.
