Gorkha Fort / Subathu / Sabathu Fort
Sabathu, Himachal Pradesh, India
Gorkha Fort, also called Subathu or Sabathu Fort, is a hill fort in Sabathu, Himachal Pradesh, connected to the Gurkha military presence in the early 19th century.
It was built by the Gurkha leader Amar Singh Thapa during the Anglo-Nepalese War and later became part of the area’s British-era military history; today, its ruined walls, old cannons, and forested hill setting make it an important heritage site rather than a fully restored fort.
