Harihar Fort, also called Harshagad, is a hill fort in Nashik district near Harshewadi, Maharashtra, and it was built to keep watch over the old trade route through Gonda Ghat.
It is best known for its steep, rock-cut stairs carved into the cliff, which make the trek exciting and challenging, while the summit has only a few remains, water cisterns, and open views of the surrounding Sahyadri hills. The fort was built during the Seuna or Yadava period and later changed hands before the British captured it in 1818.
