Himeji City Tegarayama Botanical Garden is a greenhouse botanical garden located within Tegarayama Central Park in central Himeji, Hyogo, showcasing about 25,000 plants of roughly 1,500 species from 120 families at all times. The collection features rare and unusual ornamental plants and fruit trees from tropical and subtropical zones, desert plants such as cacti, orchids, begonias, and insect‑eating plants, plus themed outdoor areas including a rose garden and a Japanese garden, and visitors enjoy peaceful walks and panoramic views of nearby Himeji Castle. The facility is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last entry 4:30 p.m.), closed every Friday (unless it is a national holiday, when it closes the day before) and from December 29 to January 1, with admission of 250 yen for adults and 100 yen for children aged 6 to junior high school, and is accessible by a 10‑minute walk west from Tegara Station on the Sanyo Electric Railway Line or a 5‑minute walk from the “Tegara‑yama Chuo Koen‑guchi” bus stop.
