Inveresk Lodge Garden, managed by the National Trust for Scotland in the charming village of Inveresk near Musselburgh, East Lothian, Scotland, is a terraced hillside sanctuary surrounding a 17th-century lodge house (not open to the public) that enjoys a warm microclimate for vibrant displays.

Spanning about 13 acres, it features colorful herbaceous borders, a rose collection designed by Graham Stuart Thomas, climbers on high stone walls, an Edwardian glasshouse, sloping lawns, wilder woodland walks, ponds teeming with wildlife, and a lower meadow with picnic areas and a fairy trail for families.

Gifted to the Trust in 1959, it opens daily from April to December, offering year-round sensory delights like autumn fruits and scents from honeysuckle and herbs amid a peaceful, dog-friendly setting close to Edinburgh.
