Jaitak Fort is a hill fort near Nahan in Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh, set high in the Jaitak Hills with wide views of the surrounding valleys.
It was built in 1810 by the Gurkha leader Ranjor Singh Thapa after the Nahan Fort and palace were captured, and it is remembered for its role in the Gurkha-British in the region. Today, the fort stands mostly in ruins, but it remains an important heritage site because of its strategic location and its connection to a major chapter of Himachal’s history.
