Jal Mahal in Jaipur, India, is a stunning palace situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Built originally around 1699 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh as a hunting lodge, it was later renovated and expanded in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II. The palace is known for its unique architecture that blends Rajput and Mughal styles, featuring red sandstone construction with intricate carvings and ornate lattice windows.

It has five floors, but four remain submerged underwater when the lake is full, creating a remarkable floating illusion. Jal Mahal includes a rooftop garden in the charbagh style with marble flower beds, fountains, and pavilions that reflect traditional Indian design. Although the palace is mostly closed to the public, it remains a popular sightseeing spot offering picturesque views of the lake and surrounding hills.

Restoration efforts have preserved the structure, emphasizing its cultural and architectural significance as a symbol of Rajasthan's royal heritage.
