“Junia Fort” in Rajasthan most commonly refers to the historic fort in the Kekri area of Ajmer district, located in and around village Junia, which is known as a heritage site and tourist attraction in the region.

It is associated with the old fort gate complex called Junia Gate in Kekri, an important historical landmark that reflects the region’s cultural heritage and medieval architecture. The fort is relatively off the main tourist circuit, so visitors usually reach it via local roads from Kekri or Ajmer, and it is valued more for its historical significance than for elaborate restoration or museum facilities.

There is also a separate site called Juna Fort near Barmer in western Rajasthan, which is an abandoned 12th‑century Rajput fort with temple ruins, bastions, and old water structures, but this is not the same as Junia Fort in Ajmer. In addition, the name “Junagarh” is widely known for the grand Junagarh Fort in Bikaner, built by Raja Rai Singh in 1594, but again this is a different fortress altogether.
