Junput Sea Beach is a quiet, offbeat coastal retreat on the Bay of Bengal in the Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal, India, about 175–180 km from Kolkata and roughly 40 km from Digha.

It has long stretches of soft golden sand, gentle waves, and a low‑gradient shoreline, making it safer and calmer for swimming than many busier beaches in the region. The beach is shaded in parts by lines of casuarina trees and feels relatively untouched and uncrowded, giving visitors a peaceful, low‑key atmosphere good for long walks, sunset‑watching, and simple seaside picnics rather than big commercial resorts.

Amenities are basic, with a few government buildings, small hotels and private stays, and the area is also known for nearby brackish‑water fish‑farming experiments and its fresh local seafood, which adds to the rural‑coastal charm.
