Khandar Fort, located near Goth Bihari in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district, is an ancient hill fort built over a thousand years ago by Kshatriya Badgujar rulers and later ruled by dynasties including the Sisodias, Mughals, and Jaipur Maharajas.

Perched atop a steep hill, its strategic location made it nearly invincible, with strong stone walls, three large entrance gates, and several bastions overlooking the landscape. The fort houses seven temples, including a famous Rani Temple and a Jain temple with intricately carved rock idols, reflecting its rich religious heritage.

Historically, the fort was a key military stronghold near Ranthambore National Park and witnessed many battles. Despite damage over centuries, it still retains impressive architectural features like water tanks, ponds, and carved stone pillars, offering visitors a powerful glimpse into Rajasthan’s royal and martial history against a backdrop of scenic views.
