Khonoma Fort, also known as Semoma Fort, is situated in Khonoma village, Nagaland, and was built by the Angami Naga warriors in 1825.
It became a stronghold during the fierce resistance against British colonial forces, witnessing two major battles in 1850 and 1879. Despite repeated demolitions by the British, it was rebuilt several times, with the last reconstruction occurring in 1990.
