Kolaba Fort, also known as Kulaba Fort, is a historic sea fort located about 1–2 km off the coast of Alibag in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, roughly 35 km south of Mumbai.

Built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the late 17th century, construction began in 1652 and was completed in 1681 under Sambhaji Raje, with the fort serving as a key Maratha naval station to monitor and resist foreign powers, especially the British and Portuguese.

The fort’s walls are about 25 feet high, it has two main entrances—one facing the sea and one towards Alibag—and still contains freshwater wells, temples such as the Siddhivinayak (Ganesha) temple built by Raghoji Angre in 1759, and structures like Angre Wada, along with relics such as old cannons and a dargah of Haji Kamaluddin Shah. 

Because the fort sits on an island surrounded by the Arabian Sea, it can be reached by walking during low tide but requires boats during high tide, making it a popular yet timing-sensitive tourist attraction and a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India.
