Korigad Fort, located near Aamby Valley City in Maharashtra, is a historic hill fort perched around 929 meters above sea level in the Western Ghats near Lonavala.

Its origins likely predate the 15th century, and it was an important stronghold during the Maratha Empire under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who incorporated it into his kingdom in 1657 along with other key forts. The fort overlooks a strategic trade route and valley, featuring massive stone walls that remain largely intact, including a large entrance gate named Ganesh Darwaaja.

Visitors can explore ruins of old structures, six cannons—most notably the large 'Lakshmi' cannon near the temple dedicated to goddess Korai Devi, after whom the fort is named—and several water tanks. The fort’s perimeter wall stretches approximately two kilometers and allows a complete walk around the fort, offering panoramic views of nearby hills, lakes, and other forts.
