Kuchesar Fort, also known as Rao Raj Vilas, is a historic mud fort built in 1734 by the Dalal clan of Jat rulers in Kuchesar village, Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh. Originally established as an opium trading post, the fort was seized in 1763 by Afrasiab Khan through deceit but was reclaimed by the Jat rulers in 1782.

It became the seat of the Jat Kingdom in Uttar Pradesh and was granted on a perpetual lease by Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II, a grant later confirmed by the British. The fort combines Mughal and British architectural styles and has been carefully restored since 2007, now operating as a heritage hotel featuring guest rooms and amenities that blend historical charm with modern comforts.

The site offers various activities such as nature walks, bullock cart rides, and cultural experiences, making it a notable tourist destination near Delhi. Its history reflects the resilience and legacy of the Jat rulers and the political struggles during the decline of Mughal power in the region.
