Masuda Fort in Masuda, Rajasthan, was originally built around 1595 AD and is regarded as one of the largest and most magnificent forts in the Ajmer region.
It was constructed under the supervision of Kishan Singh and later restored and renovated by Nar Singhji Mertia during the early 17th century. The fort sits on a hill and features strong defense structures including cannon towers at its corners and connecting walls.
It contains several royal residential palaces such as the Kaanch Mahal, Bada Mahal, and Chandra Mahal, showcasing rich medieval Rajput architecture with exquisite frescoes and miniature paintings influenced by Persian styles.
The fort also houses a library of rare manuscripts and a Gopaldwara Temple near its perimeter, reflecting both the cultural and religious heritage of the region. Despite periods of neglect, the fort's restoration has preserved its grandeur, making it a significant historical and heritage site near Ajmer.
