Rowallane Garden is a National Trust property just south of Saintfield in County Down, Northern Ireland, set on about 50 acres of rolling countryside a short drive from Belfast. It was first laid out in the mid‑19th century by the Reverend John Moore and later expanded by his nephew Hugh Armytage Moore, a noted plantsman, and has been in National Trust care since the 1950s. The garden is especially famous for its large collection of azaleas and rhododendrons, as well as for holding the National Collection of penstemons, and it also features a walled kitchen garden, rock garden, wildflower meadows, woodland paths, and a tea room. Visitors can walk the wide‑ranging paths, enjoy views from Trio Hill, take guided tours, and experience the garden’s changing displays through the seasons, making it one of the most admired gardens in Northern Ireland.
