The Vyne, located near Sherborne St John in the United Kingdom, is a grand 16th-century country house originally built around 1500 by William Sandys, who was King Henry VIII's Lord Chamberlain.

The house combines Tudor architecture with later classical modifications added in the 17th century by Chaloner Chute, who transformed much of the mansion into a smaller classical residence while retaining the Tudor chapel. Throughout its history, The Vyne hosted notable visitors including Queen Elizabeth I and has connections to famous figures like Horace Walpole and Jane Austen.

The house is surrounded by extensive gardens, woodlands, and wetlands and includes historic features such as a chapel with stained glass, a grand staircase, and romantic Gothic elements introduced in the 18th century. The estate remained in the Chute family until it was gifted to the National Trust in 1956 and is now open to the public, serving as a well-preserved example of Tudor and classical English heritage with rich historical layers and beautiful grounds.
