Nhavigad Fort, also known as Nhavagad or Ratangad, is located in the Baglan region of Nashik district, Maharashtra, within the Selbari mountain range.

The fort was historically important for overseeing the ancient Burhanpur-Surat trade route that runs between the Selbari and Dholbari ranges. Though relatively small, the fort is known for its difficult climb and rock-cut steps near the summit. It features rock-cut cisterns and caves but lacks significant fortifications. A small temple dedicated to Saptashringi Devi is situated halfway up the trek.

The fort’s history includes a notable battle in 1439 between the Bahmani king and the King of Gujarat in the area around Nhavigad. From the summit, panoramic views of nearby forts such as Mangi-Tungi, Salher, and Mulher can be seen. The fort is accessible via the village of Patalwadi, and trekking requires caution due to slippery paths in the monsoon season. The fort is a popular destination for adventurous trekkers and history enthusiasts.
