Padma Fort, located about 22 kilometers from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, India, is a grand historical fort built by descendants of King Ram Narayan Singh of the Ramgarh Raj dynasty.

Constructed over 30 years starting in the 14th century, the fort once boasted 150 rooms, a theater, and luxurious amenities including early electricity and even imported cars. It served as the royal residence and a symbol of opulence with around 2,000 servants and elephants at its gates. The fort also featured innovative architecture designed to allow natural airflow, providing coolness without modern air conditioning.

Despite its former grandeur, Padma Fort is currently in a state of neglect, gradually falling into ruin due to minimal preservation efforts, with parts repurposed for police training and other uses. The fort remains a cultural landmark reflecting the rich heritage of the region, attracting visitors who admire its architecture and historical significance.
