Pisola Fort, located in Wadipisol village in the Taharabad taluka of Nashik district, Maharashtra, is a scenic hill fort standing at an elevation of about 3,500 feet. Although its exact origins are unclear, it dates back several centuries and likely played an important role during the medieval period in the region.

The fort is relatively less visited by tourists, offering a tranquil trekking experience through farm fields, dense vegetation, and rocky terrain. Key structures include a small mosque in good condition on the western edge and the rock-cut arch gate of the pleasure palace called Rang Mahal, though most walls are in ruins.

Near the entrance, there are two rock-cut water cisterns featuring carvings of the Nandi Bull and Lingams. The trek to Pisola Fort takes about one hour from the base village Wadipisol and is considered easy to moderate, making it popular among trekkers looking for a peaceful historic site surrounded by natural beauty. Seasonal ponds on top and panoramic views add to the fort’s charm.
