Puuhamaa is a traditional Finnish family amusement and water‑park style destination in the village of Tervakoski, Janakkala, Finland, opened in 1984 and run by the local Puuhamaa group. Instead of large electric roller coasters, the park focuses on hands‑on, physical play for children with over 100 different activities such as slides, water slides, bouncy castles, trampolines, race tracks, a traffic‑city layout, rowing boats, and a large outdoor waterpark that is among the biggest in the country. The park is set in a green, lake‑side area along the Vähikkälä River, operates mainly in the summer, and offers a mix of playgrounds, sports‑style attractions, picnic zones, and simple cafes, making it a popular, low‑thrill day‑trip spot for families travelling between Helsinki, Tampere, Lahti, and Turku.
