Bathinda, Punjab, India

Qila Mubarak in Bathinda, Punjab, India, is one of the oldest surviving forts in the country, with origins dating back nearly 2,000 years to between 90 and 110 AD.

Originally built by Raja Dab to defend against invasions by the Huns, its bricks date to the Kushana period. The fort has a strategic location on elevated ground surrounded by desert, with 32 small and 4 large bastions providing strong defense.
