Raja Fort is part of the Gingee Fort complex in Tamil Nadu, India, situated on the Rajagiri hillock, the highest of the three hills forming the extensive fort.

The fort's origins trace back to the 9th century under the Chola dynasty but it was extensively developed by the Vijayanagara Empire and later by the Gingee Nayaks in the 15th and 16th centuries. Raja Fort is notable for its massive granaries, royal audience halls, temples, and the Kalyana Mahal with its distinctive pyramid-shaped tower.

The fort was designed as a strategically impregnable citadel, featuring thick walls, defensive moats, and water management systems. Over centuries, it changed hands among powerful rulers, including the Marathas and Mughals, who all added to its architectural and military features. Today, the ruins of Raja Fort offer panoramic views and provide insight into the fort's historical significance and architectural innovations, earning Gingee Fort the nickname "Troy of the East".​
